I'm Vladimir Moldovanov, a software engineer with over 20 years of experience in 3D graphics and game development. With a deep background in C++ and OpenGL, and expertise in Unity development spanning 5+ years, I've worked on everything from creating my own game studio to developing automotive navigation systems for BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi.
From Games to Enterprise and Back
My journey in game development began early. In 2005, I founded the Game Studio "SEMARGL" where we successfully developed and in 2006 published a full-scale RPG game for PC ("Dark Tower Conspiracy"). However, financial realities led me to transition into corporate software development, where I spent over 13 years building complex 3D rendering engines for the automotive industry. While this detour took me away from games, it gave me invaluable experience in professional software architecture, rigorous testing practices, and enterprise-level development standards—experience that now shapes every tool I create.
Return to Game Development
After years in enterprise software, I returned to my roots: game development. Working with Unity to build my own game projects, I found myself applying lessons learned from years of professional development. This is when VM Development Group was born.
Tools Born from Real Needs
Every tool in our collection started as a solution to a challenge I faced while developing my own games. When I found myself repeatedly writing the same editor extensions or wishing Unity's inspector had certain features, I built them. After testing these tools extensively in my own projects and confirming their value, I realized other developers could benefit from them too. This is the foundation of VM Development Group: tools created by a developer, tested in real production, and built with enterprise-level quality standards.

I believe great developer tools should be powerful yet intuitive, well-documented yet easy to use. Each asset is battle-tested in actual game development and crafted with the same attention to detail I learned building systems for premium automotive brands.
